What is the Essential Facial?
Formerly known as The Ultimate Modern Facial, this is the facial that won’t leave your skin blotchy and red. It does not consist of any manual pricking; instead, an innovative machine is used to chemically exfoliate the skin to allow for easier extractions.
Also known as hydradermabrasion, it is a mild skin resurfacing treatment using physical and chemical exfoliation to slough off the dead skin cells on the uppermost layer of the skin to bring about younger looking skin.
What can the Essential Facial do for me?
- Skin is thoroughly hydrated and infused with various antioxidants and your suggested serum.
- Skin is clear of any dead skin cells, evident blackheads, excess sebum and oil.
- New skin will regenerate at a faster rate, revealing less pigmentation and congestion.
Does it tighten the pores?
It gives the appearance of tighter pores, but our recommended treatment for shrinking pores is our Ultimate Clear Power Duo which consists of both the Pixel and Clearlift laser treatments.
Does it treat deep scars?
It does not-- only our Pixel Laser Resurfacing can do that ;)
Can I have a the Essential Facial if I currently have cystic acne?
Yes. We can control the facial process to fit your current skin concerns, but we still highly suggest consulting with our skin therapists first. Also, when the Essential Facial is done at regular intervals, it can help dry up pimples, and lessen breakouts.

Our Essential Facial is suitable for all skin types, even for those with sensitive skin. It is a great treatment, regardless if you are a skincare newbie, skincare explorer, or skincare enthusiast. How long will the treatment be?
The Essential Facial takes 60 minutes.
How should I prepare before the treatment?
4 weeks:
- Have not done any ablative laser procedure, chemical peels, dermabrasion, or microdermabrasion
2 weeks:
- Are not sunburnt, peeling from sun exposure
1 week:
- Have not done any laser treatments, no Retin-A, Retinol, or Tretinoin
3 days:
- Have not used any strong chemical peeling products such as glycolic acid (more than 10%), lactic acid (more than 10%), salicylic acid (more than 2%); have not used any whitening products containing: kojic acid, hydroquinone
24 hours:
- No facial waxing or tweezing

How will my skin look like after the treatment?
Glowing, of course! But please take note of these:
2 days:
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning lamps; Avoid products containing strong exfoliating acids or astringents (salicylic, lactic, glycolic)
5 hours:
- Avoid washing the area for 5 hours after the treatment
1 hour:
- Avoid exposure to sunlight and pollutants, use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30
Is it okay to wear makeup right after?
Yes, you can! But we recommend taking advantage of the refreshed, natural glow effect of the Essential Facial, so it's best to go bare.
When should I repeat the treatment for maximum results?
The Essential Facial recommended interval is every 2 weeks. For those with sensitive skin, the recommended interval is every 4 weeks.
Will one session be enough to achieve youthful looking skin?
Facials don’t deliver groundbreaking results overnight. Yes, one session will give you an immediate glow, but maintaining that glowing and youthful skin requires an appropriate and complementing skincare ritual and regular sessions!
